Striper Side-Bet Calcutta ONLY at Fisherman’s Headquarters

The Fisherman's Headquarters (FHQ) Striper Calcutta is a 100% PAY OUT side-bet between competing Derby anglers. Those who want to sign up for the side bet should do so ASAP.

The FHQ Striper Calcutta is now open to ALL ANGLERS regardless of where they register for the Derby!

Anglers can simply sign up for both the Derby and the Striper Calcutta at the same time at FHQ. For those who already registered for the Derby at another tackle shop and want to get in on the Striper Calcutta: bring your "Official Registration Slip - Yellow Angler's Copy" to FHQ and ask to sign up for the Striper Calcutta; HOWEVER, once the Derby begins on October 10th, 2009...
 

- Any anglers who signed up elsewhere and wants to register for the Calcutta must do so within 24 hours of their original registration. After 24 hours from the time & date marked on the registration form the option to join the Striper Calcutta ends.
- Furthermore, those anglers must also wait 24 hours after registering for the Calcutta to enter a fish for the Striper Calcutta (but not the Derby).

Sign up for the 55th Annual 2009 LBI Surf Fishing Classic (aka Fall Derby, LBI Surf Fishing Tournament) at Fisherman's Headquarters and request to enter into the Striper Calcutta. To be ALL-IN the total fee would be $40. That is a $30 Derby Registration Fee + $10 Striper Calcutta Buy-In.  Once registered go fish, catch your fish and then weigh-in any LBI Surf Fishing Classic eligible  Striper at FHQ, where it will be officially entered into the LBI Surf Fishing Classic (Fall Derby) as well as the FHQ LBI Surf Fishing Classic Striper Calcutta.

- The Striper Calcutta is open to all anglers 18 and older.
- To be eligible, an angler must opt-in (pay) and the fish must be weighed in at FHQ.

Once the Derby is over, the Striper Calcutta Cash Prize will be awarded to the angler with the heaviest STRIPED BASS. In the event of a tie (by weight) the first fish weighed will be considered the winner. The FHQ Calcutta registrant with the largest Striped Bass weighed in at Fisherman's Headquarters takes 100% of the money.

It is Fisherman's Headquarters goal to raise the level of competition in the Fall Surf Derby with an incentive that is conservation minded. The Striper Calcutta is a motivation for anglers to fish harder!

Fish are subject to internal and external examination by the WEIGH MASTER, who reserve the right to disqualify any FISH. All fees are non-refundable. The Striper Calcutta Winner might be required to take a polygraph at FHQ's request and agree that the examination results are binding.
